The annual report “The Fiber Year” is the next generation of a service that the Dutch manmade fiber manufacturer Akzo originally had initiated in the 1960s. The report provides a comprehensive survey on world textile industries. Although politics explain much activity in this industry and have consequences far beyond the boundaries of the industry, statistical information is instrumental in achieving an overall impression and inevitable to disclose the story behind the figures.
